While I’m working with a project, my sister plugged into our player a classic love-story titled “Somewhere In Time” starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. It it a story of love transcending time and space when Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) travels back through time to meet an outstanding actress, Elise McKenna (portrayed by Seymour). It was from a number of mysterious events, which pulled Richard Collier to meet this woman of the past and eventually falls for her. Their love flourished in a short span of time ending in a tragedy when Richard is unintentionally pulled back to his present time with a broken heart.
I’ve watched this movie for many, many times with my mother, grand-mother, and during my alone moments. It is a wonderful, amazing love-story despite its tragedy. I will never grow tired with its cinematic display of scenery, unparalleled choice of classical music into its score and undoubtedly amazing acting between the characters. You will fall in love with them and with the story. I even get the moment of wanting to be in their shoes even for a moment if only to experience the alluring, mysterious ambiance of a classical tragic love-story.
Right now while I’m typing this, I know exactly what is going to happen. Richard will be pulled back to his present time and me and my sister will hold witness to a man’s very broken heart.
While we go mushy over this movie again, here is a trailer I found in Youtube for everyone’s pleasure.
