Planning for the Year Ahead

This year started with a different note, a different scent in the air, a certain force suddenly pushing me into a direction I never got to think about before. I’m in my mid-20s and I feel a bit apprehensive of getting a bit older. I’m seeing life in a different shade. Things are getting way more serious but I believe I’m getting the hang of things since I am still able to laugh despite life’s tribulations.

I started this year with a new job, a blooming love life, a new set of perspective and maybe, just maybe, a sense of maturity.

My aim for stability for my future has taken a stronger hold of me. I have this sudden goal to create on my own a structure wherein I could have passive income. I’m working my way there, starting with the websites I co-own with my best friend and now my blog taking a more serious nature of web advertising and affiliation. No, I don’t plan on making this blog ad-intensive that ‘intrusiveness’ may become its middle name. It’s still my blog. My thoughts, my readings, my ideas, my insights, notes, etc. It will stay that way.

I’m currently reading an ebook on trade currencies (forex). I want to try my hand on online currency trading. Thank goodness for the power of the internet, such fast and easy transactions are too easy even a baby could do it. All I need now is the know-how to transact before I put in capital into the service. If anyone can teach me how to do forex, that would be better.

I will need to discipline myself with regards to my expenses and savings. True, I may have a bit of savings in the bank but in these are hard times, it is not enough. I have to learn to budget ‘strictly’ to buy things I NEED and WANT without worrying too much of my balance. Thus, I’m pouring through tips and articles on the best ways to save.

Also, I have to learn things such as secured loans, insurance, time deposits, etc. From my last working place, an officemate often used to tell me “Why won’t youget a loan? You’ve been in this company for how many years, you’re qualified and you deserve it.” Truth be told, I never cared for those stuff because I never took the time to even understand it but a certain instinct tells me now I have to start learning these if I would ever want to be financially stable in the future.

I need to learn how to compare credit cards, banks, loan packages, etc. so I would know the best options for financial stability.

In short, I have to learn so many things to prepare for my future. Am I getting too serious? I really don’t know. It’s a certain instinct I’m having. I just hope that I would things correctly. ^_^
