50 Things Every Creative Should Know
I’m in that bored, creative rut of being a commercial designer. I follow instructions, I’m at a lot of what is ‘my style’, I don’t know what to do with my life and if I will ever get anywhere.
It is with websites like this I am reminded of some creative projects I would like to have done soon.
Creativity takes on a lot of effort to accomplish… and hurdles to get over.

50 Things Every Creative Should Know
Off to the sketchbooks!
Wedding wedding wedding! :D
Life has been busy. I’m now approaching less than 2-months stretch to complete the wedding preparations.
My wedding.
Still can’t believe I’m saying that. Hihi.
Amidst all the responsibilities, work, tasks, social obligations, and ongoing wedding preparations, I’m still alive. Stressed but alive.
This is a random post of what has been happening during the wedding preparations. Seeing all these things had me realize I’m accomplished quite a number of to-do list, I just hope I’d be able to handle things more smoothly. XD
The magazine that started it all. My starting reference for inspiration, do’s-and-dont’s, what to expect, etc. I used to not understand why they make these wedding magazines so think. Now I know. With the number of themes, suppliers and alternatives to make a wedding unique, there are too many ideas to cram in one publication!
What I love about W.E. magazine is their wedding planner. It has made my life a bit easier, discussing items with my coordinator and taking note of essentials.
These are hotel brochures and materials I’ve been to. Somehow these are the ones, which made an impression on me. I’m still awaiting proposals from some.
I could never go without a memo pad for jotting down notes and my planner to organize my life. It’s hectic as it is but I refuse to not have a schedule for rest! LOL.
Contracts, canonical and civil documents, receipts, xerox copies, etc., all organized, labeled, and tucked within a large transparent envelope. These documents took a lot of effort to accomplish and I’m loving that majority of them are almost complete! Woohooo!
So these are my current wedding materials. Not included here are digital data keeping track of expenses and important documents.
How about you, have you ever organized or prepared for your wedding? Were you stressed as I am? XD
Shelter, Furniture, Accesories, Books
Passing by Jupiter Street a number of times these past few months, the simple black and white signage of this store caught my attention. The logo initially connotes high-end and eclectic personality, which I like. Very intrigued and urged by my thoughts, I visited earlier and it was much more than I expected.
The place calls ONLY high-class. Majority of store items are imported abroad and the prices are quite steep. Yet, I call everything a haven of inspiration of art and interior design. Everything was displayed in a way you may want parts of your house to look like.
Photographic, traditional oil and watercolor paintings are available. Abstracts, landscapes, flowers, framed celebrities, etc. You name it, they have it.
Here is a sample of how items are assembled to easily picture a luxurious living room. Absolutely loving the hand holding a book found at the bottom-right area of the image above.
Shelter sells a lot of bath soaps and scented candles. These come in various shapes, colors and sizes. Check out the packaging given for each. Aren’t they adorable?
I don’t think I’ll be able to use these. They’re just too cute to use!
Another area for coffee table books. This one I would love to have in my own house some day.
See the rug? It’s an actual cow hide. Now this is my kind of living room. Very urban and chic. Quite cluttered but I could do without some of the items. I go for minimalist needs.
The image above reminds of an antique shop… only showcasing glasswares. It was hard for me to go around this area lugging two bags. I fear breaking something just for exploring.
By the entrance of Shelter. See the man reading on the chair? Despite the clutter of imported high-end products in the area, all their chairs calls for you to sit down, relax and get a book.
More books and celebrity-related items.
I swear, when I get the means, I will buy an item or two in this shop. Everything is very tasteful and chic, a designer’s haven of inspiration.
