Math dancing with Music

I’ve seen many articles stating programming injected into certain softwares to make various fractals move into the meat of music. Examples of these are when you turn on Visualizations in Winamp or Media Player and the colorful dancing lights move in time with the beat. Sorry I don’t know what softwares make this stuff as they are too technical in my tastes and I have no inclination to learn them. That doesn’t stop me from appreciating motion graphics and this one is just so cool to watch.
