Yesterday is what I call a realization day.
I woke up late because of the heavy rain. It was cold and snuggling deep into the covers was the utmost priority. Unfortunately, work was waiting so I had to drag myself up and go into the normal chores to start the day.
After finishing all chores and waiting for my bath water to heat up, I decided to take my camera and take random snapshots of the house without any flash just to see how the house projects in a gloomy weather.
This is the outside of the house. I was trying to take a shot of the gloomy sky (the rain had ceased). It sure looks like a province scene. ^^

Now this gave me a jolt. As I stated earlier, I removed the camera flash, so anything I would take inside the house would be underexposed. I also didn’t turn on any light so I expected shots to be dark. But the output came out creepy in the staircase landing. XD

At the end of the staircase is a big rosary that has been there ever since I was a kid. Seeing this shot made me realize how old the rosary is and how creepy it looks on a gloomy day. XD

You know what else what happened?
At the end of the day, when everyone was going upstairs to settle in for the night, this adult bat (I could estimate its size from my wrist to elbow!) suddenly popped out from nowhere circling around the staircase yellow light. 0_0
My friend, Denok, told me I should call a wildlife expert since there may be a possibility that a population of bats could be growing somewhere in the neighborhood. I have nothing against bats but I just hope they would not hurt anyone. XD
All these gloomy atmosphere and bat talk is like a sign or a reminder just how old the house is. But wow, the fact that the house is still standing and intact is a miracle and one I am proud to say, is something I am also working hard to maintain. :)
