Mr. Picassohead
Abstract art is now generally understood to mean art that does not depict objects in the natural world, but instead uses color and form in a non-representational way. In the very early 20th century, the term was more often used to describe art, such as Cubist and Futurist art, that depicts real forms in a simplified or rather reduced way—keeping only an allusion of the original natural subject. Such paintings were often claimed to capture something of the depicted objects' immutable intrinsic qualities rather than its external appearance. The more precise terms, "non-figurative art," "non-objective art," and "non-representational art" avoid any possible ambiguity.
With art, nothing has to be immediately proven beautiful. Especially with abstract, at most times you have to step farther to see the picture as a whole and go over each brush stroke, color, overlapping tones, to see ‘more’ and claim the overall meaning of the picture.
Such as with life. Ther are too many complexities. Life is actually simple if you think about it. All you have to do is live. Only the situations complicate it, as too many distractions make up for the term modern survival.
Funny, how a simple picasso-like application could remind me of deep meanings. To create something I could call mine with the materials provided, constitues not only opportunity of adding another frame to the gallery, but to constitute a stamp of how I can perceive a face of another. :)
