There are just too many backup or online backup servers available on the net nowadays. Not to mention they’re FREE! Though most offer a limit to their service (disk space or functionality wise), their existence is a blessing for all net and PC users, who fear loosing their most precious files.

Searching over the net for another storage space (I have too many to count but still looking! ^^), I stumbled upon IBackup. It had won several awards including PC World (2006) and PC Magazine editor’s choices. Just by that, I was intrigued and I must say, they provide one of the best backup services I have ever seen.

First off, the interface is very user friendly. It particularly looks a lot like Windows Explorer, so the usual ‘dragging and dropping’ of single or multiple files from the PC to your IBack space is a cinch. This feature could also be done automatically via a scheduler, wherein you could set the date and time for your files or folders to update/synchronize themselves. Of course, you could easily cancel, delete or abort operation if you want to.

Another heavenly aspect of IBack drive is you could open, edit and save your files from your IBack space. No need to download the file! It saves effort and bandwidth so to speak. ^^

The IBack Web Manager is so clean, and simple (with cute icons) that working in its interface is refreshing. The usual features for a storage / backup account is there. Create folder, share folder, rename, search, etc. Everything is almost there.

For something so good we have to expect a catch. This program has a price. If you truly are a net aficionado and is very much into having as much backup as possible to your files, then this is for you. It’s simple, clean and easy to use. Once I have the money, I might even consider taking up the 200GB plan. ^^
