Hair Conferences?

Our receptionist, again (I do believe we are talking to much to each other nowadays XD), had just her hair rebonded. And as any usual course of discussion on hair, I suddenly found my cubicle filled with other female employees, fussing over her long, smooth, silky black hair (she removed the colors), and began a discussion of costs, hair maintenance, as well as tips to prolong its salon etc. It seemed normal to have a hair conference when such things happen. There would be the rants of having to sit too long in a chair, the annoyance on the smell of medicines used, the number of times dozing off the chair, the observed slowness of the person doing the remedy, and the list goes on and on and on and on….

But at the end, everyone will just say… “It’s worth it.” Then, everybody will be back on fussing and asking where the place is, who fixed her hair, etc. Ah yes, the girl moments. You wouldn’t really get to realize you already had one until you remembered later when everyone is gone back to their work and the hair conference came to an abrupt end. It will sure happen again once someone gets their hair done. I find the situation funny. XD For someone who isn’t really into salons, hair, make-up, clothes etc… it’s a world to ponder upon once in a while. For other girls, it would look natural. For me, its otherwise. But it isn’t bad. I like it.

I like it better if it isn’t me who’s scalp is hurting, getting some small wounds on the scalp, dozing off the chair, getting a bit dizzy from the smell of the medicine and most importantly, getting really ripped off for having my hair relaxed. But at the end, it’s worth it. Sometimes, I wonder if I could just have some fake relaxed-like hair transplants so I wouldn’t have to go to the salon ever again. LOL
