It’s that time of the year when the air becomes chilly and everyone runs around to buy gifts, and commercials are broadcasting holiday cheers here and there.
The Philippines does not have winter. There is no need for winter clothes much to my dismay. The famous coldness of Baguio does not compensate enough reason to look like an eskimo or be fashionably styled from head to toe as I’ve seen pictures of women in Japan, Korean and Hongkong.
Not that I’m aiming to be covered in fur. I am just wondering how it would be to see a Filipino walking around with a thick winter-wonderland white fur-coat.
Of course, we could always find alternatives for the lack of Winter Season in the Philippines. The air is still cold, more so when we enter air-conditioned office premises.
So I looked around Winter clothes which can be used by Pinays for this wonderful time of the year. I’ve noticed a trend going on for these:
1. Colors are simple. Not too bright and enough “muted” aspect to go along with any other ensemble.
2. Not much prints. Often solid colors.
3. From the looks of these items, they look warm and easy to maintain. They look comfy too!
4. Many of these could be used for casual or semi-formal affairs.
Consider these in my wishlist!
