Colombian Drug Dealer’s Loot

I just received this email from a college friend and it features things that can be found within a colombian drug dealer’s residence
As I have seen in newspapers and movies, I expected stashes of money, hidden guns, awesome residences, and big-bodied bodyguards and goons.
But lo and behold, if these pictures were true, I could literally make a pool of riches with these stuff!

With this colombian drug dealer’s loot, imagine how many mouths these could feed, how many Haiti victims these could help, how a 3rd world country could benefit from these amount of money. *sigh*

5 P’s of Marketing in Actual Life
February 23, 2010 by Jasmine
No, I am not talking about sales or business advertising.
Really, we tend to forget that marketing is EVERYWHERE. People tend to believe that marketing is purely business related but in truth, we market a lot about ourselves, our lives and our environment.
What are the 5 P’s of Marketing you ask?
1. Product: Know its core benefits. Know how customers could greatly benefit from it. Once you’ve identified benefits and values, take a step back and start with the next step which “Now what?”
2. Price: Interested customers will always take the initiative to look around elsewhere for comparative prices. So yours should not be too expensive (or potential customers will go away) or too low (or potential customers will doubt your product’s credibility). That is why knowing your product’s full potential will be beneficial to assist in producing a good argument for your product’s price.
3. Promote: Do some advertising. A product will not sell by itself. You should take action to have the product known. Press releases, web campaigns, billboards, etc.
4. Physical Distribution: This does not end in delivery. There must be a clear return policy. If the product requires installation, there should be clear instructions on how to do that. Helping the customer get the best satisfaction is the best method to have returning clients.
5. People: Never underestimate the importance of customer service. Customers will always want more information to conclude purchasing decisions. They will want support when they have questions for the product.
And the 5 P’s or Marketing can really change lives… when done properly.
So how do we go about this?
Example:
Business Logic 1: How business is done
Father : I want you to marry a girl of my choice
Son : ‘I will choose my own bride!’
Father : ‘But the girl is Bill Gates’s daughter . ‘
Son : ‘Well, in that case . . . ok’
Next Father approaches Bill Gates .
Father : ‘I have a husband for your daughter . ‘
Bill Gates : ‘But my daughter is too young to marry!’
Father : ‘But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank . ‘
Bill Gates : ‘Ah, in that case . . . ok’
Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank .
Father : ‘I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president . ‘
President : ‘But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!’
Father : ‘But this young man is Bill Gates’s son-in-law . ‘
President : ‘Ah, in that case . . . ok’
How does the 5 P’s of marketing go into the above example?
Product : The Son
Price : Fame and fortune (in the eyes of the Father of course, his Son means the world)
Promotion : Twisting status around to get a better deal for the son ![]()
Physical Distribution: Father makes a personal meeting with everyone involved.
People : Bill Gates and the Bank owner will definitely support this marriage! (heck, they’ll get something from it too!)
This is how business is done!!
Moral: Even If you have nothing, you can get anything . But your attitude should be positive.
LOL

Business Logic 2: What is Marketing?
You see a gorgeous girl at a party .
You go up to her and say, ‘I am very rich . Marry me!’
That’s Direct Marketing
You’re at a party with a bunch of friends and see a gorgeous girl .
One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you says, ‘He’s very rich . Marry him . ‘
That’s Advertising .
You see a gorgeous girl at a party .
You go up to her and get her telephone number .
The next day you call and say, ‘Hi, I’m very rich . Marry me . ‘
That’s Telemarketing .
You’re at a party and see a gorgeous girl .
You get up and straighten your tie; you walk up to her and pour her a drink .
You open the door for her, pick up her bag after she drops it, offer her a ride, and then say, ‘By the way, I’m very rich ‘Will you marry me?’
That’s Public Relations .
You’re at a party and see a gorgeous girl .
She walks up to you and says, ‘You are very rich, I want to marry you . ‘
That’s Brand Recognition .
You see a gorgeous girl at a party .
You go up to her and say, ‘I’m rich . Marry me’
She gives you a nice hard slap on your face .

Cebu dancing inmates stopped

I just read about the news on Governor Garcia of Cebu pulling the plug on Cebu dancing inmates due to questionable reports on where donations are going to.
The internet sensation started by the Cebu dancing inmates in 2007 earned worldwide recognition especially when Michael Jackson’s choreographer, Travis Payne, appeared and danced with them for a dance video for Jackson’s “This Is It” concert under arrange of Sony Records.
Things went bleaker for the Cebu dancing inmates when the renewing of Byron Garcia’s contract (the Capitol’s security consultant) is still pending. Gwen Lador, the noted inmates’ choreographer has also resigned. In the meantime, the dancing routine has been suspended.
So where does that put the dancing inmates to?
Personally, I think this is not right. Maybe in some sense criminals within these bars are not befitting of this fame but I don’t see the reason whey dancing should be stopped behind the bars.
Dancing has provided a way for this mean to be psychologically stable to not ensue any riot amongst themselves. Why must this be stopped? Doesn’t that, in one way or another, they are encountering a change within themselves for brotherhood to actually prevail within the area?
And really, would we want to have them kill each other instead?
There were comments about dancing inmates must be punished for criminal acts and justice must be served. True, but aren’t they still paying for what they did since THEY ARE STILL INSIDE? Why? Did they receive solo rooms after their fame? Did they get money? Did they get get special treatment? Did their work stop? They are still inside aren’t they? They were just dancing for the hell of it. Is it bad for ANYBODY to dance?
I rest my case. On a lighter note, I found this video on the Cebu dancing inmates dancing to the music of anime music titled, The Melancholy of Suzumiya. It’s really cute and a change from the well-famed videos featuring Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson songs.

After the devastating catastrophe that happened in Haiti, the world has again united to save fellow brothers and sisters, to help regain lives, to be united in world harmony as one family in one world.
What better way to celebrate this unity but to have a star studded cast of the most popular artists today sing a much beloved song from Michael Jackson, titled ‘We Are the World‘.
This video is literally giving me goosebumps.
We Are The World 25 For Haiti – Official Video
“We Are The World 25 For Haiti”, in which Jones and Richie serve as executive producers and producers, was created in collaboration with executive producers Wyclef Jean, Randy Phillips and Peter Tortorici; producers Humberto Gattica and RedOne; and co-producers Rickey Minor, Mervyn Warren and Patti Austin to benefit the Haitian earthquake relief efforts and the rebuilding of Haiti.
Academy Award-winning writer-director Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), whose own personal efforts as well as those of Artists for Peace and Justice have already saved countless lives in Haiti, filmed the private recording session to create the accompanying video and behind-the-scenes production, and serves as Film Director and as an Executive Producer with Jones, Richie, Jean, Phillips and Tortorici.
The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.
Let us do more with Haiti. Go here for more information on how to help people of Haiti.
