Being a web designer means exposure on information overload. Being human, I need a place to help me organize that information.

Ebook for Effectivity

7 habits of hightly effective people

The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People: 1.37mb

I guess having download obsessed IT friends really pays a lot! LOL.

Below is an ebook shared to me (again). It’s a self help book by Stephen R. Covey. I really haven’t read all of it but seeing all the testimonials I guess it is a good book. It doesn’t hurt to read self-help books once in a while though. I hope this would help others too. ^_^

Testimonials

Stephen Covey has written a remarkable book about the human condition, so elegantly written, understanding of our embedded concerns, so useful for our organization and personal lives, that that its going to be my gift to everyone I know.
– Warren Bennis, author of On Becoming a Leader

We could do well to make the reading and use of this book a requirement for anyone at any level of public service. It would be far more effective than any legislation regarding ethical conduct.
– Senator Jake Garn, first senator in space

I found this book stimulating and thought-provoking. In fact, I keep referring to it.
– Richard M. DeVos, President, Amway

Winning is a habit. So is losing. Twenty-five years of experience, thought, and research have
convinced Covey that seven habits distinguish the happy, healthy, successful from those who fail or who must sacrifice meaning and happiness for success in the narrow sense.
– Ron Zemke, coauthor of The Service Edge and Service America

It’s powerful reading. His principles of vision, leadership, and human relations make it a practical teaching tool for business leaders today. I highly recommend it.
– Nolan Archibald, President and CEO, Black and Decker

Stephen Covey’s deliberate integration of life and principles leads to squaring inner thought and
outward behavior, resulting in personal as well as public integrity.
– Gregory J. Newell, U.S. Ambassador to Sweden

Books I’ll never forget

Everyone has a book they love and wouldn’t trade for others. As for me, these are my faves…

NOTE: List is randomly done and not in any ‘fave’ order. Texts after each title is my personal insight on the literary material.

  • Memoirs of a Geisha
I had to remind myself it was fiction. The book is compelling, exotic, bordering on the complexities and power of human and female sexuality. I admit the pacing was slow but I believe the pace was a fine build-up for the story.

  • Da Vinci Code
It’s very gripping! I wasn’t able to let go of the book! Intricate plot amidst very controversial issues on religion that could change the world. There had been too many theories whether this book is real or legend. Whatever the case may be, the book brings out a controversy that has long been buried and awakens the world to its existence and call for truth.

  • The Little Prince
A short and simple tale on what people should learn on love, life and friendship. Told in a way to actually educate children, the book encompasses human emotion and treated in such a simple way of bringing out the inner child to believe what we have forgotten about the essential simple truths of living. At least, that’s what I think.

  • The Secret Garden
This is the first novel I’ve ever read so I hold on it with a certain level of sentimentality. I also especially love gardens and plants so this book early on drew me into its magic. This literary classis is one of those which could draw you back to childhood memories, wherein you believe that magic exists somewhere around you and it is possible to conjure it with a bit of imagination. It’s author is the same as from Little Lord Fauntleroy and Litle Princess.

  • Little Princess
I believe everybody had heard of Princess Sara Crewe, a story of a rich girl who maintained the dignity of a princess even when she became almost a beggar when her father died from an illness. Her story is something girls would love to apply in their lives and shows the moral of not letting go of who we are despite any challenges.

How about you? What are your favorite books?

NOTE: The Ebooks has been shared by a friend. This ebook is not for any commercial purposes.

Although numerology has been around for millenium, its true origins remain a mystery. Thousands of years ago, early civilizations in Egypt and Babylon both recognized the power of numbers. Its quite possible that numerology has been in existence since the human race learned to count.

Numerology is the study of numbers as it relates to aptitudes and character tendencies. Each letter of the alphabet has a numeric value or frequency that relates to it's vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and sum of the value derived from the letters in your name, provide a road map of vibrations.

Numerology expresses a great deal about a person's character, purpose in life, motivations, career, romantic characteristics, luck and talents. Numerology experts use the numbers to determine the best time for major activities in one's life. Numerology has been used for investment forecasting, marriage counselling, travel advice, carrer consulting, and even relocation advice.

It wouldn’t hurt to try. Might as well since I’m having a hard time making decisions by myself. Doesn’t that sound pathetic? LOL
