Wordpress 2.6!
You won’t believe my horror yesterday when this whole blog went DOWN after I updated to Wordpress 2.6. @_@
I literally panicked I ended up trying to fixing this blog at work (hiding from my boss, of course). At the end though, I was unable to do a database repair in my phpmyadmin, I contacted my blog’s server’s tech support asking for help. I’m so happy they responded promptly to my call!
I gave my ticket before lunch hour and my blog was fixed by late afternoon! Whew! Thank goodness!
I’m so happy I’m going to blog about Lights Out Philippine Yaoi Convention.
Lights Out would like to invite all Filipino yaoi fans to the the 5th Lights Out: Five Years of Fantasy! The convention will be held on the 6th of September 2008 at Ikeda Hall/Balay Kalinaw (next to Ilang-Ilang Residence Hall), University of the Philippines Diliman Campus, Quezon City. Withdrawals irk
Deprivation.
The feeling of withdrawals from the absence of something that constitutes the daily life of an individual.
That is how I describe deprivation. That is how I felt since June 10, when I am unable to access my blog till yesterday, when at last, my blog has transferred to a new server Licorne and I purchased a few weeks back to expand the functionality of our websites.
Another good news is, Widespaces (this blog’s former name) has taken Chibilicious.com as its new domain name. As I previouosly mentioned from a past entry, handling two blogs focusing on my interests resulted with me posting very similar entries on both blogs. Though Chibilicious before focused on chibi collections and former Widespaces concentrated more on my various interests, it can’t be helped that Widespaces had a section on what I want to talk about in Chibilicious. That was where my problem was.
So I decided to instead implement my blog on Chibilicious and take care of it to the best of my abilities. Also, I now look on this blog as a project to help on my internet endeavors. Internet Marketing, SEO, web design, ebooks, networking
etc. I used to look on my blog as something haphazardly done, tossing entries here and there, not taking any particular attention to details and functionality.
That has all changed now. I had taken pains to research on wordpress plugins providing me with the functionalities I want. I delved into various wordpress theme archives to find a minimalistic approach for layout. I had thought a lot of what kind of entries I would like to place in here. I want to place a photo album of all images I like. I want a place wherein other could avail of ebooks I like to read. I want a nook on the net to list down all my internet interests in one organized page.
Yes, I believe I’m taking an interest on upgrading my knowledge on internet marketing. I want to have an online business of sorts. I want to partake in e-commerce even in a small way.
I want to be my own boss, in the comfort of my own home I will build one day, in my own pace, in my own leisure. I’m one of those people who aren’t aiming for a high position in a corner office in some prestigious company. I just want stability and comfort. I do not aim for riches. Just a content life. A hassle and financial problem free life. That’s all I want.
I’m taking all of these one step at a time. I’m taking this opportunity to learn everything slowly but surely while I still can.
Also, I plan to enter this blog on the next local Webby awards. So I’m doing my best to get everything organized till that day. Please wish me luck for it! *bows*
P,S, As for previous entries of Chibilicious.com, I will place them here randomly. I cannot bear the thought of removing those permanently since I really love those visuals and I think they provide a bit of comfort and enjoyment to everyone, even if they are generally chibi in nature. ^_^

Wordpress Plugins search
It’s only recently I decided to do a total makeover to Widespaces. First, I chose a theme from a wordpress theme directory and opted for whiltem clean, minimalistic look. With the easy part done, I then had to work on the functionality of the blog. That would mean I have to reply on plugins since I have no strong knowledge on php and database programming to edit the wordpress code by myself.
I found tons and tons of plugins to consider. To easily download the right one I decided to do a research on top best wordpress plugins
. Thus, I came to this page, titled TOP 30 Wordpress Plugins in Blogosphere.
True enough, some of these plugins were already included in the wordpress theme I chose and they were pretty good.
Unfortunately, due to wordpress’ constant upgrading (which, I hate sometimes but can’t do without since it does involve security issues), I can’t figure out to make some of the plugins work. It seemed some are not compatible anymore the to recent 2.2 version of wordpress and that pisses me of. I had to rely on some later versions of an alternative plugins
or just do without.
