When my office mate shared this video link of a cheeky, just-stumbled-out-of-bed-with-a-bad-hair-day looking 47 year old woman, I initially thought she might be another just-passing-through-and-see-if-I-may-have-the-chance kind of audition. I am never the type to linger on first impressions so I waited till Ms Boyle started singing and boy, I almost fell off my chair!
More so did I gawk when I saw the judges, most especially Simon, go dreamy – eyed (imagine Simon going dreamy eyed! *gasp!*) and I knew then, everyone will respect and look up to this disheveled looking woman and that she would gain such popularity all her worries will go down the drain.
According to blogs I have stumbled after Googling Susan Doyle, her childhood consisted of being bullied because of how she looked and a disability. Well then, I can pretty well imagine who’s having the last laugh right now. *evil*
All I can say, she can be the next thing after Lea Salonga. Singing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables actually gave me goosebumps and when Simon gave his resounding “Yes with three S’s” (as he put it) I knew that Ms Boyle is someone to watch out for in the near future. :D
