I got my Belle de Jour 2011 power planner a few weeks ago and I’m very happy that I availed one this early because scanning through its pages once in a while somehow hyped me up for new activities and the 2011 checklist area gave me a few ideas to consider doing for next year. :3

The Belle de Jour planner started its retail life starting 2007. It was initially a personal project by a by a belle named Darlyn, when she hunted down the perfect planner to manage her life but disappointingly ended without one satisfying her taste. As a last resort, she designed her own planner. She read on time management skills, personalized the layout, added her illustrations, inserted poems and articles, etc. She printed it and had it bound. Her friends took notice of her planner and complimented on it, suggesting to have it mass produced. She invited closest friends and mentors, each bringing unique talent to add to the pages of the planner. Thus, Belle de Jour Enterprises was born.
Now, the planner has garnered enough popularity and buzz it has extended its life towards the online arena and is now an expected year-ender item for women. It has become a “cult” (in a positive way) or community of sorts wherein the fashionista achievers, stylish go-getters or better yet, independent, glamorous bellas unite to celebrate the joy and power of womanhood.
So here are some pictures to show you what you can expect (if you haven’t bought one yet) of the Belle de Jour 2011 power planner.
There are two (2) journals you can choose from. One that is wired bound, the other book bound. I decided to try on the book bound type because my current one is wired and I consider it bulky sometimes. Plus, constant checking on its contents had the bottom part a bit ragged now.

You can expect added coupons and discounts inside. There are also some multiply shops that have joined the bandwagon and the coupons are now colored so they jazzed up the pages more.

Every planner must have a space to place your year goals and vision board. So you can write, post pictures, stickers, embellishments etc. Make this space as vivid as possible to keep you on track and help you clearly visualize on your goals for the upcoming year.

If you haven’t made any plans or do not have any clue on what to do next year, rely on this checklist. Some ideas may not be in your league, but its worth to give it a shot right? :D

When I showed a previous officemate of the belle de jour tracker, she exclaimed. “This is the only planner I’ve seen with a menstrual tracker! Awesome!” Then she bought herself a belle de jour planner because she also loved the layout and colors.

Each month starts with very good articles for the independent belles. I swear, I feel like I’m holding a magazine when I view those. Truly helpful articles to live by.

Each month will also start with the basic calendar layout to write in brief overviews of the month before leafing though next pages for the details.

The details area. Place in your plans here! But you don’t have to strictly follow the grid lines. Place in thoughts, ideas, notes, doodle… do anything you want. It’s your planner. Be free do place anything in it!

Oh yes, every independent woman must be able to track her expenses to save up for that gadget, vacation or investment.

A place for emergency numbers and random thoughts.

The belle de jour 2011 planner is now equipped with a forget-me-not booklet to jot down more of your plans.
I would like to add more pictures here but that might spoil other surprises. XD
Every working and independent bella should get one of these and put effort into planning their lives. I didn’t realize before how much a planner could help in completing projects and still have time for our social lives, plus try out new stuff.
So thank you to Belle de Jour I’m learning the value of planning. If not for the pretty and colorful layouts, I wouldn’t even consider having one. LOL
