Cleopatra had the right idea with her somewhat lavish milk baths. Milk is loaded with alpha – hydroxy acids (AHAs). These soften skin by exfoliating and dissolving the glue that holds dead skin together. These cleanse the skin’s topmost layer enabling our natural emollient oils to reach the surface cells thus moisturizing the skin. Blackheads are removed too!
AHAs are not only in milk but also in lemon juice, vinegar, blackberries, grapes, oranges, tomatoes, and apple juice.
Using lemon for example, you can try sqeezing a lemon a week & keep its juice in the refrigerator. In the morning, dab some lemon juice on your fingers and pat it onto the face, leave it on for ten minutes or so then rinse well.
