We had a short party late afternoon at the office celebrating May birthday celebrants (five of them I think XD ) and two getting married soon.
And of course, my favorite part of a party is the food. HAHA. Nothing new about that. But what somehow stayed within me is the girl bonding I had with some of the girls after the party ended and we stayed to clean the conference room… or should I say leftovers.
Honest, I didn’t take any leftovers, I helped in distributing some of the cake pieces that were left. ^^
Back to the girls, there were four of us, one getting married next week to her long-time boyfriend. In that time, we were asking her how she’s feeling that she’s living single-hood forever. She says she’s calm but she isn’t sure how she’ll feel next week. One thing she’s sure of is, she will be happy with her soon-to-be husband.
And we were telling green-jokes and teasing the bride-to-be on *ehem* tips on married life. *grins* One of the adults in the office mentioned to just watch the ‘videos’. LOL
It was refreshing though. This is the first time I actually got to bond with girls because of a soon matrimonial event. To be in hype with someone’s excitement to get hitched. To share with a friend’s joy on joining with someone. The moment was teasing, giggly and extremely girlish but at the same time a turning event together with someone I am closely acquainted with.
And I suddenly got this image of the other girls having the same moment in their lives. Hmm. I felt different. Probably because I havae no desire on getting hitched. Everyone who knows me knows that.
Oh well. Then I’ll be the moral spectator for my friends. And I’ll wish them all the luck in the world.
