WePad is here! – trial run
Only a few weeks ago, IPad soared the news everywhere with its touch-screen innovated features and functionalities. Browsing through Facebook, I would find many people asking if TouchPad would be worth its price. Some said yes, some said no. I would say it depends on the user, especially with the concept of money to spare.
I had a friend who was tempted to get one and asked my opinion on it since I’m more tech oriented than her. I honestly told her, “if you have the money to spare, go ahead. Otherwise, think twice. Also, know your usage on it.”
Compared to other netbook laptops, the specifications are comparably lower in some aspects. The good think of the Ipad is it looks like a neat clipboard or regular notebook wherein you can digitally maneuver data with ease. But specs wise, it may not have the “power” to function everything an individual needs especially if the user will be graphic intensive or is related to the IT world. Programs, softwares, OS’s, plugins, etc. These things could take a lot of power.
With my being a web designer, I could use the Ipad for convenience but not for my actual work. So it would still depend on the individual’s usage.
Now, a new revolution has come out, titled the WePad. It is a new competition from the Ipad. The WePad is designed in Germany and it is an open platform so anyone can participate in using it. To put it simply the WePad’s foremost functionality, it is described as a newspaper delivered to your porch with wonderful interactivity to the internet.

As of the moment, the WePad boasts of constant connectivity for news. What other programs and functionalities it can do is still in the dark. So we have to await for further news regarding this new technology. :D
