PERSONAL NOTE by Jasmine aka Chedie:

I hate it when I cry and people tell me, “Stop crying! Tears will do nothing for you! You are not weak!”

And then I would call on all my power to hush up and stop the tears from falling.

For the rest of the day, the burden and ache burns in the heart. Why is it tears are a sign of weakness when it is only but floodgates to use in times of need? Why are tears a sign of negativity when it helps ease a burden at the right place at the right time? Why is it women are often called weak just because they cry when it provides internal consolation afterwards?

Why indeed…

NOTE: It is recommended that you play the video below while reading the rest of the entry. It’s bound to make you realize the power of your tears.

Kiss the Rain
Why Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him. “I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.” Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?” “All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

God said:

“When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.”

“You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where love resides.”

Pass this to all your women friends and make them realize the strength within them. :) You may forward this information via ShareThis button found at the bottom of this post.

Do not deny yourself of your tears. They make us women stronger than before.

Ricky Martin is Gay!

After years of rumors and speculation, Ricky Martin has finally admitted his sexuality via a blog posting at www.rickymartinmusic.com.

I’m not surprised though I am not expecting it either. I hardly judge famous icons on their sexuality since I am not against the said issue in any way. I once was also a fan during the ‘Livin La Vida Loca’ days and I have no qualms before whatsoever regarding my fanatism diminishing for him whether he admits he was gay or not.

Ricky Martin is Gay‘ is a good thing to hear since it means another individual has gained a lot of confidence to say that out most especially for someone within an industry full of harsh criticism and rumors. He now knows who he is, what he wants and what he will get out of his life. Isn’t that something we all want?

For a funny tidbit on this issue, you may watch the video below. :D

Ricky Martin is Gay?!?!?

Hahahaha! For some reasons, I accept this fact gracefully compared when I found out Keanu Reeves was gay!

When I’m asked, “Where do you want to go in the near future Jasmine?”

I answer, “Japan”.

Then they ask, “Why? Wouldn’t that be hard since you don’t know much Japanese? Shouldn’t you go first to a place where there are more english speaking people?”

I answer, “I’m after the cherry blossom trees. I want to see them in full bloom.”

True and simple. I want to see Japan’s famous flower. I want to see them in full bloom and gently falling down from their branches. Even from only watching Japanese movies, falling cherry blossoms mystify me, calms me, and brings into me a serenity I cannot describe. Is it mother nature’s mysterious hand easing life’s burdens, or merely a psychological trigger to quiet the soul?

Either way, the cherry trees has brought about many meanings, joy and solemnity into the lives of the Japanese and other people around the world. Is it a wonder that the world knows of the cherry blossom festival. It is truly amazing how a simple flower could garner such popularity across the globe.

Cherry blossoms carry various meanings, as depicted below:

1. Cherry blossoms date back to the 18th century wherein the transience of the blossoms portray extreme beauty and quick death, thus its tie to mortality. Because of this reason, cherry blossoms are richly utilized in Japanese art, film, anime, manga, etc.

2. Cherry blossoms signify good omen for love. It also represents affection and spring. It is used as a metaphor too for fleeing nature of life.

3. This flower offers an important role in Japan’s samurai culture. Like cherry blossoms, samurais expect to have short loves. The flower represents drops of blood.

4. In China, the cherry blossom is associated with women’s dominance and beauty as well as feminine sexuality.

Whenever I see this flower, I am truly amazed for its simple complexity. :)

The video below is very calming. You can save or bookmark it so you can watch it everytime you are stressed out. It’s like having a video zen at your disposal. :)
