Rest is essential!

photo credit: h.koppdelaneyFor weeks, my body seems to have been working non-stop. Sure, I get enough sleep and I try to rest in between work when I can, but the amount of rest doesn’t seem to compensate for the needed recuperation to get the energy back. I continue on working and didn’t mind the change of weather that is constant happening. I didn’t mind the gradual onslaught of flu that is happening around me nor did I take any precautions to go against it. I just wanted to get things done.

And so what happened. My body gave in last Thurs. I took half day from work, didn’t go to work Friday. Rested on Saturday. Yesterday (Sunday) I was feeling much better so I worked on a project that has been waiting for me attention. I worked almost the whole day and didn’t put any attention to my aching back, to my constant coughing and sneezing, my blurred vision and dizziness. When I checked my temperature, I had a temperature of 38.2 degrees. -____-. I was nearly done with work so I finished everything before I turned off the laptop and went straight to bed after a couple of spoonful of hot soup.

Yes, because of my stubborness to continue working just after getting sick, my fever came back. So now, just to be sure I take the necessary rest, I did not go to office and I spent the day reading, sitting, leisurely surfing the net (no work!) and watching TV. I feel much better and I’ll continue to relax till I go to sleep.

So I’m reminded the hard way to take enough rest. Do not over-exert yourself. Learn to balance life and to do things you enjoy to balance out your activities. Whew! I really need to organize my priorities again. XD

Pre-Wedding Interview

My best friend’s wedding is drawing near. Prior to the big event, I was able to record shots of different people (including me) asking random questions for her married life ahead. ^^

Not enough space

Sometimes, I think there is not enough paper / journal / notebook / organizer / planner / hard-disck to put into words everything that man think or feels. There is just too many neurons in our head they could burst out into the cosmos. Our intellect is infinite, we just need to let it out in the simplest methods: Through Words. ^____^

Is it a wonder I’m having too many empty notebooks in my room? I guess they are just waiting to be filled with my mind ramblings. XD
