New Year Options
If truth be told, I do pig out a lot during the holidays but there is one thing I am not especially fond of during this season… Cooking.
Since me and my sister are the ones doing the cooking in the house, the price to pay for my dad’s inclination to have a ‘feast’ is really tiresome. Just last Christmas, I ended up cooking two (2) main dishes and spaghetti. Mind you, it is no easy feat to cook alone as a gift to your family for the holiday season. I even persuaded my dad to not think of any more dishes because he wanted more.
I am not being a killjoy or anything. I like to cook really. I am no chef but at least no paramedics are required to pump out a stomach when I cook. XD Now, since the New Year is coming, my dad is harping again on what to have on New Year. I placed my foot down and negotiated to have only three, no more no less, excluding fruits of course, dishes to serve. Dad wanted to have the spaghetti I cooked last Christmas, so that’s one down. I’m now having a hard time thinking what dish I could make that would not take much time and effort to do.
I ended up having the options below as the ingredients are easy to find, easy to prepare and easy to cook.
* I’m sorry if I got carried away with the options. I’m just drooling over them!
