Typhoon batters Metro Manila, Bicol
Much as I don’t want to remember what happened yesterday during the typhoon, I felt I had to write about it and vent out all my feelings and rage on what it has done to the nation… and at the same time see the good it brings, if any.
Middle afternoon, the typhoon reminded me of its strength when it began to fly debris from other houses to our backyard, topple the plants, destroy some of our roof (‘m not lying!), made some of our house interior flooded, actually shattered a window in my room, made my dog whimper and shiver in fright, and so on and so forth. Everybody knows I hate rain but more so of typhoon!
Before coming to work this morning, I managed to get most of the debris gone from most of the backyard. Tomorrow, I can just imagine the meticulous clean-up chore I have to do to make things appear normal again. I don’t mind cleaning, but I dread tomorrow’s work. o_o
And to my utter atonishment, looking out the window, I haven’t seen the sky look so bright and peaceful, as if no storm came and destroyed a lot of public property yesterday. Not to mention the added harrassment of metrowide blackout since yesterday morning.
The sunny weather triggered the memory of Noah’s Arik. A thorough cleansing of the earth or something. Trees were blown, houses damaged, debris found everywhere, and yet the horizon spoke of brightness and laughter.
And when I came to the office, with no air-con despite the building’s generator, everybody was smiling and laughing, recapturing the terror of rain and wind yesterday, telling anecdotes of braving the wrath of nature. And I found myself among them, sipping coffee with breakfast, just having a good time with each other.
Oh well, I guess this is literally what “light after the storm” meant… and honestly, I’m enjoying the moment. Hope it lasts.

I can’t believe this!
My blogmate Licorne sent me a link to Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge / Wallflower / Perfect Girl Evolution. And its going to have an anime, movie and LIVE series! *faints*
This is going to be another round of bishie drooling once I get my hand on its merchandise (especially DVDs). I’m a big fan of its manga and I can’t wait to see it in motion.
Included in this link is a movie preview. Unfortunately its in Japanese but hell I don’t care! I just want to see the characters!
I find it weird the four male leads look like ‘drag queens’ up close. But they’re okay from afar. XD And Oda looks like a younger version of Shigure from Fruits Basket! He’s so cool! Then again, he’s one of my fave character, so I’m being biased. LOL
